Judaism that kids actually love

At Chabad Hebrew School, we believe Jewish education should be joyful, meaningful, and memorable. Every Sunday, kids discover what it means to be a proud Jew through hands-on activities, stories, celebrations, and an incredible community of friends.

Our program is open to every Jewish child regardless of background or prior experience. Whether your child is just starting out or has been learning for years, they will find a warm, welcoming place here.

What we learn, and how

Our curriculum is built around one big idea: being a proud Jew is something to celebrate. Every lesson connects kids to their heritage through fun, interactive, age-appropriate experiences.

Jewish Holidays

Experience every holiday the way it was meant to be, with candles, costumes, songs, and stories that make each one come alive.

Torah and Stories

Incredible stories from the Torah and Jewish history brought to life through creative storytelling, art, and discussion that kids actually remember.

Hands-On Projects

Crafts, cooking, and creative activities that turn Jewish learning into something kids can see, touch, and bring home.

Jewish Identity and Pride

Building confidence, belonging, and connection so every child walks away knowing exactly who they are and why it matters.

Hebrew School curriculum activity

Alef Champ, our world-class Hebrew reading program

What does karate have to do with Hebrew? Everything, when you are an Alef Champ.

Alef Champ takes the belt system from martial arts and applies it to Hebrew reading. Students progress through 10 colored levels, each one a new milestone earned through practice, confidence, and real skill. Moving up a level is a moment of pride, and that pride is the engine that drives students to keep going.

Self-motivated students are Alef Champ's secret. Unlike traditional methods, kids aren't just waiting for the teacher. They're working toward their own goals, at their own pace, with fun games and activities along the way.

Frequently Asked Questions

Not at all. Our program warmly welcomes children at every level, whether they are just starting out or have been learning for years. Classes are designed to meet each child where they are, and no prior background is needed to join.

Life happens, and we completely understand. If your child misses a class, simply reach out to Sheina and we will make sure they are caught up and comfortable when they return. Missing an occasional Sunday will not affect their progress.

Our Hebrew School is open to any child from a Jewish family who wants to connect with their heritage and community. If you have questions about whether your family qualifies, please reach out to Sheina directly. We are always happy to talk it through.

Just themselves and a good attitude! We provide all materials, supplies, and snacks. You are welcome to send along a water bottle if you like, but there is nothing your child needs to bring to have a great morning.

Yes, absolutely. We never want finances to stand in the way of a child's Jewish education. Scholarships are awarded based on need, and the application is simple and confidential. You can apply at jewishwintergarden.com/scholarship or reach out to Sheina directly to discuss your situation.

We would love that! Sheina is always happy to show prospective families around, answer your questions in person, or let your child sit in on a class to see if they love it before you commit. Just send us an email or give us a call to set something up.

Have questions? We would love to hear from you.

Reach out to Sheina anytime with questions, to learn more, or to set up a time to meet in person. We would love to show you around.
